A Learner’s Permit is a special permit granted by the State of Connecticut DMV that allows you to practice driving before you get your driver’s license. All new drivers – regardless of age – must hold a Learner’s Permit for a period before taking their license test, and driving students 18 and over must hold their permit for 90 days. It is not required to have your permit before you begin Driving School – in fact, we recommend you attend at least two Driver’s Ed classes before your Permit Test. We also recommend getting your Permit as soon as possible in order to reduce the waiting time for your License Test. Take the easiest road to your license with The Next Street.
